Randy Allard
President & CTO
Randy Allard has over 30 years experience in medical device design, research, development, and commercialization efforts. Credited with over 250 patents, he has expertise in orthopedics and spine technologies, and also has extensive experience in design, research, and development of technologies in RF ablation, robotics, hematology, PCR, and other electromechanical medical systems. Randy's other notable projects include a Gene Synthesizer, one of the first platforms that made PCR fast and affordable; the Nanolce system, molecular gel ice used for the preservation of food and organs for transplant; the Salmon Cannon, a volition and image scanning system to assist in migration of native salmon; and the Bryan Cervical Disc which resulted in a $284M acquisition and pioneered the age of the artificial motion-preserving disc. Randy holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a M.S. from the University of Texas.
Tom McLeer
CEO
Tom McLeer brings over 30 years of commercial operations experience in orthopedics, spine, and orthobiologics and holds numerous patents in the spine and orthopedic space. He is an accomplished medical device leader that has led multiple startups through the regulatory approval process, into full commercialization and onto successful acquisitions, including RTI Surgical and Abbott Laboratories. Tom most recently served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Link Spine, and previously held executive-level positions at Alphatech, Pioneer Surgical, Spinal Concepts, and Interpore Cross International. Tom holds a B.S in Business Administration from Ohio State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
